This house was initially a narrow elderly barn, so they were proficient to bring advantage of this and make a double‐aspect bedroom out of the garage. 'As we did not need arranging clearance, we contacted a local building corporation that can complete the project justly fast. My only difficulty was clearing out all our junk! In four weeks, the garage door was removed also blocked up, fresh windows were cut out and suited, also the walls plastered. ' The homeowners knew they needed a magnificent new bedroom that will be clutter‐free and relaxing but not too feminine, as it had to function for them both. 'I was keen for the design to own a rather organic feel.'
Even nevertheless the walls were brand new, the homeowner still sanded and prepped the area behind the bed so it was ready to wallpaper. 'I commanded the paper from a craftsman architect, and painted the space a matching blue.'

'I knew I needed a neutral feel also soothing, and my husband was insistent it wasn't too girly. Fortunately, I'd discovered some wallpaper that I just knew will be the beginning point for the air I needed to get.
'Once we'd finished painting, it was time to suppose about extra furniture, so I seemed online and discovered some lovely handcrafted pieces. ' She went for shady wood, which sits well against the blue. 'I love the actuality that it looks like lots of different drawers slightly than just three, and we did not have to select a carpet as the designers suited a neutral one also soft, which functioned well.'
'I also taken up an elderly pair of steps, which I sanded down and painted in a complementary tone – they make perfect bedside tables. ' This eccentric bedside table is perfect for books and a night light.
Glass and concrete accessories and rustic flowers taken from the garden finish the air. 'The room now has the natural, soothing effect I was after.'
The wall hooks provide utilitarian storage and enable extra items to be on show. The things ties in with the adorning scheme.
